报告摘要:
Thermomechanical processing of Al-alloys (e.g., rolling and extrusion) is characterized by alternating deformation/work hardening and softening phenomena (recovery & recrystallization) accompanied by possible changes in microchemistry (i.e., the partition of alloying elements between solid solution, constitutive particles and dispersoids). The presentation will start with a general overview of the typical changes in microchemistry, microstructure and texture that take place during thermomechanical processing of aluminium alloys. This will be followed by a more detailed description of the mechanism of nucleation and growth of recrystallisation, as well as the origin of and characteristic recrystallization textures. Alloying elements in solid solution and second phase particles may have a strong effect on the recrystallization behaviour, and their effects on the recrystallization behavior (i.e., kinetics, grain structure and texture) will be discussed, including the effect of simultaneous precipitation and recrystallisation. Finally, a brief introduction to the modelling and simulation of recovery and recrystallization will be given.
